Playsets
Many companies sell playsets made with temperate rainforest woods such as cedar and redwood. Also, municipalities often built playsets using tropical hardwoods. In New York City, playsets were built using ipê until Rainforest Relief began a campaign to eliminate the use of tropical hardwoods by the City government. Shortly thereafter, New York City Parks began building all new playsets using either Trex (a recycled plastic and wood composite material) or steel.
