Around the world, petroleum drilling projects are contaminating rainforests and impacting the loves of local and indigenous people.

Petroleum drilling and exploration is currently going on in the rainforests of Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Nigeria, Chad and off the coast of Indonesia and Burma (necessitating the building of a pipeline through the rainforests.

In every case, pipelines leak or are blown up by rebel factions, spilling large amounts of petroleum into pristine forest ecosystems.
