Tim Keating and Bart Bettencourt Deliver Sustainable Wood Presentation Sponsored by GreenHomeNYC

	70% of rainforest destruction is driven by the demand for tropical wood, used in everything from benches to pencils.

Tim Keating, Rainforest Relief's Director and Bart Bettencourt, President of Bettencourt Green Building Designs, teamed up to give a presentation entitled Responsible Wood Alternatives: From Extraction to Production & Design, as one of the monthly fora given by GreenHome^NYC.

This isn't the first time the two have spoken together. Both presented at a presentation sponsored by O2 about two years ago. Tim Keating provides information on what to avoid, why and on some alternatives and Bart Bettencourt follows up with information on what alternative materials are available locally and how to work with them.

The most recent presentation place at the Hefele showroom, across the street from Madison Square Park in Manhattan and was delivered to about 30 people interested in green building.
