Asbury Park Victory!
ASBURY PARK, NJ — Last night, Asbury Park, NJ Councilwoman Kate Mellina proposed that this historic boardwalk resort town — which gained national notoriety with Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” album — end their use of uncertified tropical hardwoods for boardwalk renovations.

EAST LYME, CT — Rainforest Relief has learned today that East Lyme officials voted yesterday to switch to a wood/plastic composite decking product, putting an end to the proposed use of tropical ipê for the boardwalk of the upcoming Niantic Bay Overlook project.
