The Boardwalks of New York City

	NYC Parks uses ipê and cumaru for boardwalk construction and maintenance for the 12.5 miles of NYC's coastal boardwalks.

New York City Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the construction and maintenance of most of the coastal boardwalks in New York City. But other entities — mostly so-called "public benefit corporations — such as Hudson River Park Trust and Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation, are responsible for other, smaller boardwalks.
