In 1997, we contacted Chili's (the restaurant chain, owned by Brinker International) after learning that they were building 400 new stores a year with mahogany doors. Brinker thanked us for informing them that using mahogany was problematic and quickly announced their intention to end the practice. Brinker now uses second growth domestic oak for doors.
