As an outgrowth of the 1997 San Diego campaign, Rainforest Relief and other groups reached an agreement with San Diego and Atlantic-Meeco, the world's largest marina builder (with projects from California to Japan). We agreed that the groups would allow the San Diego project to go forward, that San Diego would no longer use rainforest wood in public projects, and that Atlantic-Meeco would end their use of uncertified tropical hardwoods, which had become the wood of choice for the company.

Word on the street is that A-M is not living up to its commitment. Please join Rainforest Relief to get this large rainforest-wood-using company to live up to its stated commitment.
