 | Dr. Nosker (center) atop the understructure of the vehicular bridge being built over the Mullica River in Wharton State Forest. The bridge is made entirely of recycled plastic lumber with the understructure being the first use of RPL I-beams. In the foreground is Dr. Richard Renfry who died of lung cancer shortly after the bridge — the first of its kind in the world — was completed. At the dedication of the bridge a year after it's completion, it was renamed the Richard Renfry Bridge. | |

Dr. Tom Nosker is the nation's preeminent independent researcher in the field of recycled plastic lumber (RPL).
Dr. Nosker is the Principal Investigator at the Rutgers AMIPP Center for advanced polymer materials. He is also a professor in the Department of Ceramic and Materials Engineering, Rutgers University.
We've depended on Tom for his expertise on RPL on many occasions. Tom has come out to fight by our side numerous times in our various campaigns -- most recently speaking in front of the Asbury Park City Council on the benefits of using RPL.
In 2003 in NYC Dr. Nosker spoke at the City Council Hearing for the Good Wood Bill. He offered testimony on the cost-effectiveness of recycled plastic lumber as an alternative to wood in NYC’s municipal projects.
